George Thomas "Tommy" Cook, 45, Rushville, Missouri, died Tuesday, August 27, 2013.
The body has been cremated. A celebration of Life service will be Friday, September 6, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at New Home Baptist Church, St. Joseph, Missouri. Visitation with the family will be Thursday, September 5th at Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home, Atchison, Kansas from 7:00 until 8:30 P.M. Memorial contributions are suggested to the George Thomas Cook Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.
Tom was born August 7, 1968 in St. Joseph, Missouri the son of Thomas John and Lucinda Sue Bozarth Cook. He attended Rushville Elementary School, graduating from Dekalb High School.
Tom served with the United States Navy being stationed at Virginia Beach, Virginia.
He was employed for several years with different airlines as a mechanic and for the past eight years in the maintenance department as an electrician with Bradken Corporation of Atchison.
Tom was a member and attended the New Home Baptist Church, St. Joseph, Missouri. A devout father, he spent all available time that he could with his twin children. An avid biker, Tom modified a bicycle to accommodate his children on the back of the bike so they were all together. He also enjoyed motorcycle riding and fishing.
Survivors include his twin children, Jake T. and Molly E. Cook, Cummings, KS, his maternal grandmother, Georgia M. Baublit, Rushville, MO, a brother, Rich Cook, Warsaw, MO and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
