George Garrison

George E. Garrison, Atchison, Kan., passed away April 23, 2026. He was born Nov. 15, 1945, to Elmer and Lillie (Wolfe) Garrison.

George retired from Blair Milling & Elevator in July 2005, and was a member Of the BCTGM Union. He enjoyed wood-working, four-wheeling, and horse riding - in parades, trail rides, a cattle drive, and participated in the wagon trail ride from Atchison to Nortonville.

George married Kathy Gerhardt, October 23, 1976. She survives of the home. Additional survivors include his daughters: Sheila & Lisa; his siblings: Carol, Susan, Donnie, Chuck, Barbara, and Elaine, his grandchildren, Ashley, Rachel, Nicholas, and Lacey; his brother & sisters-in-law, Larry and Mary Church, Sue Church - Hoskin, Terri & Harold Olson, and Kay & Pat Sowers; and eight great-grandchildren, Chaseton, Cael, Ayden, Alijah, Avery, Alexiah, Madi, and Kimber.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer Garrison and Lillie Criag; his siblings, Robert, Betty, Clifford, Johnny, Wayne & Irvin; daughter Lori Ann, and grandchildren, Heather and Michael.

The family directs memorial contributions to Trinity Lutheran Church Endowment or Benedictine College – Always a Raven Scholarship and may be sent in care of the Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home.

George has been cremated and a private burial will be at a later date.
