Fredrick Wayne Obermeyer

Fredrick Obermeyer, 79, Atchison, Kansas, died Thursday, May 19, 2022, at his home surrounded by his family.

Mr. Obermeyer has been cremated with no services planned at this time.

Fredrick was born April 19, 1943, in Atchison, Kansas, the son of Alfred E. and Martha M. (Badehus) Obermeyer.

He and Kathleen Trautloff were married in Chillicothe, Missouri. They later divorced but remained close, as Kathleen was his caregiver.

Fredrick served in the United States Navy until his honorable discharge.

Survivors include a son Fredrick Obermeyer, Jr., Atchison, KS, two daughters, Yvonne Obermeyer, Darby Schafer, a brother, ten grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his three sisters, Jerry Obermeyer, Sandy Obermeyer, and Margaret Crouch.
