Francis "Junior" Drimmel

Francis "Junior" Drimmel, 87, of Atchison, Kansas died Monday, July 17, 2017, at his residence with his family at his side.
A private family memorial service will be held Thursday, July 20, 2017, at the Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home. Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Croix Hospice and may be left in care of the funeral home.
Junior was born September 27, 1929, in Atchison, Kansas, the son of Frank and Hanna (Watowa) Drimmel. He attended White Clay School.
He and Joan Betts were united in marriage on July 26, 1950, in Van Burren, Arkansas.
Junior and Joan opened Drimmel Service station in 1965 and served the Good Intent and surrounding community for several years. Junior operated a trucking business from the early 1950's until 2005. In his spare time he especially enjoyed mowing his yard and visiting with family and friends.
He was a member of the St. Louis Catholic Church in the Good Intent community of Atchison.
Survivors include his wife, Joan, of the couple's home; a son Daryl (Marta) Drimmel, Atchison, Kansas, two grandchildren, Darin (Christina) Drimmel, Atchison, KS; Bridgette Drimmel, Goddard, KS; and two great grandchildren, Aidden and Leland Drimmel.
He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother Clarence Drimmel.
