Edwarda Sukow

Edwarda Emilie Sukow, age 87, of Atchison, Kansas, died on November 10, 2024, at the University of Kansas Hospital following a vehicle accident.

Eddie had Pre-Planned her cremation care with the Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at the Mt. Vernon Cemetery at a later date.

Eddie was born on October 11, 1937, in Atchison, Kansas, the daughter of Alice (Pearl) and Edward William Sukow. She graduated from Atchison High School. She most recently had been employed at the Atchison Wal-Mart until her retirement.

She married Harry Karafelis on July 4, 1959; he preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by two sons, Harry Karafelis, Jr. and Edward William Karafelis; two brothers, James Lancaster and Samuel Lancaster; and a sister, Ernestine Portenier.

She is survived by two children, Robert A. Karafelis and Karen Muentes.
