Edward Bott, Jr., 89, Leavenworth, Kansas, died Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at Lansing Care & Rehab, in Lansing, Kansas. The family is very grateful for the care provided by the nursing home and by Harbor Hospice.

Mass of Christian burial will be Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. at Sacred Heart Church, Leavenworth, KS, with interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Easton, KS. A parish rosary will be recited Tuesday at 10:00 A.M. with visitation to follow until time of service at the church. Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Benedict's Abbey and may be left in care of the Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home. Online condolences may be left at www.arensbergpruett.com .

Edward was born January 17, 1934, in Leavenworth, Kansas, the son of Edward J. and Anna Marie (Fink) Bott. He attended Bell School and later graduated from Immaculata High School.

He was a farmer all his life. In later years he was employed as a custodian at Fort Leavenworth Schools USD #207.

Survivors include two sisters, Anna Marie Rayser, Leavenworth, KS, Mary (Norman) Michael, St. Peter's, MO, two nieces, Marlene (Kevin) Morley, Leavenworth, KS, and Marilyn Thompson, Easton, KS.

He was preceded in death by a brother-in-law Merlin Rayser, and a nephew Michael Rayser.
