Earl G. Trower, 81, Atchison, Kansas died Sunday, April 8, 2012 at his residence.
Funeral services will be Saturday, April 14, 2012 at 3:00P.M. at Faith Bible Fellowship Church with Pastor Stephen Lucas officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation with the family will take place one hour prior to services at the church. Memorial contributions are suggested to Faith Bible Fellowship Church and may be left in care of the funeral home.
Earl was born April 28, 1930, in Winchester, Kansas, the son of Rollo and Grace Rae Trower. He attended school in Winchester.
He and Delta Kathyern Sissel were untied in marriage on December 27, 1956, in Paris, Illinois. Mrs. Trower preceded him in death on September 30, 2011.
Earl worked for USD #409 as a janitor for several years. Following this he served in the maintenance for Atchison Valley Hope for ten years. In his younger years he owned and operated body shops.
He was a charter member of Faith Bible Fellowship Church of Atchison. He enjoyed woodworking, camping and listening to music. Earl had a deep passion for horses and even rode in the American Royal Parade.
Survivors include four daughters, Charlene (Earl) Brown, Atchison, KS, Candy Trower, Dearborn, MO, Peggy Blakley, Atchison, KS, Amy (Jason) Rule, Atchison, KS, a son, Phillip Trower, Atchison, KS, a brother, Mike Trower, Valley Falls, KS, five sisters, Martha Boles, Chicago, IL, Sharon Burton, Rio Grande, N.M., Linda Pennington, Atchison, KS, Nellie Moore, St. Joseph, MO, Freda DeBey, Downs, KS, four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters, Louise Renkins, Ruby Bower, Gladys Burns, Margaret McHaley, four brothers Clifford Trower, Johnnie Trower, Don Trower and his twin Merle Dean Trower died at the age of six months.
