Dwight Sexton, 49, Lawrence, Kansas, died Wednesday, July 17th, 2013.
Memorial services will be Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home with Rev. Lee Hendon and Rev. Mary Ann Eiberger officiating. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday, July 23rd from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A. M. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are suggested to Lawrence Humane Society and may be left in care of the funeral home. The body has been cremated under the direction of Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home, Atchison, Kansas.
Dwight was born April 20, 1964 in Atchison, Kansas the son of Harold Dean Sexton, Sr., and Mary Regnary Sexton. He attended Atchison Public Schools and Atchison High School.
Dwight was a free spirited person who spent his time working on cars. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and hiking. An animal lover he doted on his many dogs and cats throughout his life.
Survivors include his mother, Mary Sexton, Atchison, KS, a son, Brent Sexton, Omaha, NE, three brothers, Harold D. Sexton, Jr., Topeka, KS, Keith "Doug" Sexton, Atchison, KS, Stephen Sexton, Lansing, KS,a granddaughter, Willow Barrett, and his companion dog, Gabby.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Dean Sexton, Sr.
