Dorothy Rindom

Dorothy Henrietta Rindom, age 92, died peacefully on January 11, 2025.

Dorothy was born on April 28, 1932, in Atchison, KS, the daughter of the late Clarence Meharry and Anna (Urban) Meharry. She attended catholic grade schools and graduated from Mount St. Scholastica.

Dorothy worked in Atchison as a secretary for a few years before moving to Topeka where she continued secretarial work for the state printing office and then the Topeka Police Department until her retirement. She enjoyed to read, sew, crochet and was very creative with crafts.

She married William D. Rindom, Sr. in September of 1957. They were later separated but remained close. She is survived by her children, Jeff (Carol) Rindom of Olathe, KS, and Bill (Susan) Rindom, Jr., of Stockton, MO; her sister, Dee (Hank) Fulk of Atchison, KS, her nephew, Kevin (Angela) Fulk of Sylva, NC, four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

A rosary will begin at 12 noon on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at St. Benedict Church in Atchison, with Mass of Christian burial to follow. She will be laid to rest in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Memorials may be left to St. Benedict Parish or Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Cremation care entrusted to the Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home.
