Linda Diane Dykstra passed away on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at the age of 73. She was born on June 3, 1952.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 21st at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of the Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home with Pastor, Russ Cooper, officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Private family graveside services will be held at Sunset Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions are suggested to Project Concern and may be left in care of the funeral home.
Diane spent more than 25 years working for Kansas Social and Rehabilitation Services, where she dedicated her career to helping others. She took great pride in her work and in making a difference in the lives of the people she served.
She had a lifelong love of learning and earned master's degrees in both English and History from the University of Kansas. Diane also attended Kansas State University for her undergraduate studies. Her love of books, history, and thoughtful conversation was something family and friends knew well.
Diane truly enjoyed time spent with the people she loved most. She especially looked forward to playing card and board games with family and friends, a tradition that was a highlight during the holidays and gatherings. Those moments of laughter and friendly competition meant a great deal to her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Aaron and Barbara Dykstra; her brother, Michael Dykstra; and her grandparents.
Diane is survived by her brothers, Kevin Dykstra and David (Polly) Dykstra; her nieces, Adrienne Neaderhiser (Tim) and Allison Dykstra; and her nephews, Blake, Chad, and Nathan Dykstra.
Diane will be remembered for her kind heart, her sharp mind, and the many good memories she shared with those around her.
