Daryl Drimmel

Daryl Drimmel, 71, Atchison, Kansas, died Sunday, July 23, 2023, at Amberwell Hospital Atchison, with his family at his side.

Daryl was born, December 10, 1951, in Atchison, Kansas, the only child of Francis J. "Junior" and Joan (Betts) Drimmel. He attended Atchison Catholic Elementary school then the Shannon School.

He and Marta Husted were married September 5, 1981, at the Robinson United Methodist Church.

Daryl was self employed his whole life. He was in business with his father, farming, tucking, fertilizer spreading, sold cars and farm machinery, along with seed sales. Once was in business with Doug Armstrong doing custom AG service for the surrounding area.

Daryl enjoyed farming and going to auctions. He enjoyed working on cars. Daryl was ornery, he loved to joke and make people laugh. He never knew a stranger; on road trips or family vacations he could make small talk with anyone he came across.

Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Marta Drimmel, a son, Darin (Christina) Drimmel, Atchison, KS; a daughter, Bridgette Drimmel, Goddard, KS; and two grandchildren, Leland and Aidden Drimmel.
