Darla Keever, 51, Atchison, Kansas died at the University of Kansas Medical Center, Kansas City, Kansas.
Funeral services will be Saturday, January 14, 2012 at 1:30 P.M. at Atchison United Methodist Church with Rev. Cynthia S. Meyer officiating. The body will be cremated following these services. Visitation with the family will be Friday, January 13th from 7:00 until 8:30 P.M. at the church. The Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home has been entrusted with these services. Memorial contributions are suggested to Atchison United Methodist Church or American Cancer Society and may be left in care of the funeral home.
Darla was born October 25, 1960 in Osborne, Kansas the daughter of James and Myrna Kaser McReynolds. She attended schools in Osborne, graduating from Osborne High School.
She and Larry K. Keever were united in marriage on November 15, 1980 at the First Christian Church in Osborne, Kansas.
Darla was employed with American Family Insurance Company for four years and with Farm Bureau Insurance Company for seventeen years, both of Atchison, Kansas. Most recently she served as the administrative assistant for the Clements Insurance Agency of Atchison.
She enjoyed spending her free time reading, playing darts and was an avid spectator sports fan. Darla was a member of protestant faith and had been attending Atchison United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Larry K. Keever, Atchison, KS, a daughter, Kaylene (Brian) Piper, Atchison, KS, three sons, Kyle Keever, Atchison, KS, Kade Keever, Atchison, KS, Kent Keever, Atchison, KS, her parents, James and Merna McReynolds, Osborne, KS, a sister, Dana Hollerich, Tipton, KS, three brothers, Danny McReynolds, Concordia, KS, Dwight McReynolds, Alton, KS, Darwin McReynolds, Kinsington, KS and two grandchildren, Austin and Ashlyn Piper, Atchison.
