Darin Clifford Moorhous, a day shy of 58, passed away at 1:05am on 12/19/2021 surrounded by family and friends at Amberwell Hiawatha Hospital.
He was born on December 20, 1963 in Wichita KS. He dabbled in the art of glass blowing. Darin was an E2 Private in the Army from 1980 to 1986, where he traveled to Germany as a cannon crewman. He was an expert with M-16 rifle and hand grenades.
Darin was no stranger to those that needed help. He was always willing to give a helping hand to the jobs that no one wanted to do, like cleaning the toilet.
He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Cindy Moorhous, 42, his three daughters Maggie "Pie" Moorhous, 21, Katie "Bug" Moorhous, 18, and Karin "Tank" Moorhous, 17, his sister-in-law Crystal Mullen, his nephews Emmanuel Mullen and AJ Lay, his mother-in-law, Marjorie Lay, best friends Old Man, Bad Penny and Captain Handsome and extended family from past relationships.
He is preceded in death by his brothers John and Travis, his mother, Sandra, as well as his beloved dog Tyson.
Darin has been cremated and Memorial services are scheduled for Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Hiawatha, 210 Lodge Rd, Hiawatha, KS 66434.
