Damon Scott Huninghake, age 46, of Leavenworth, Kansas, died unexpectedly on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at St. John's Hospital in Leavenworth.
Funeral services will be on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home. Damon will be cremated following the services. Memorial contributions are suggested to assist the family with funeral expenses and may be left in care of the Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home with whom care has been entrusted.
Damon was born on November 10, 1974, in Atchison, Kansas, the son of Lyle Huninghake and Joyce Goodman. He graduated from Atchison High School.
Damon was a man of many hats, his last employment was for Hill Bros. Construction as a heavy equipment operator. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson, smoking food, pretending to be a DJ, camping and spending time with his friends and family.
Survivors include his father, Lyle (Mary) Huninghake; eight children, Cody, Shianne, Skylar, Brian, Ricky, Bobbie, Missy, Robert; four siblings, Natalie (Steve) Barnett, Atchison, KS, Larry (Alisha) Huninghake, Leavenworth, KS, Brandy (David) Witter, Rushville, MO, Mary Ann Huninghake, Atchison, KS; two step brothers, Mike and Richard; nieces and nephews, Skyler, Brendan, Chloe, Laney, Ella, Olivia, Darien, Harley, Johnny, Devon; nineteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Robert, and his mother, Joyce Huninghake.
