Corrine Donaldson, 90, Atchison, Kansas, died Monday, September 23, 2013, at her residence.
Mass of Christian burial will be Monday, September 30, 2013, at 2:00 P.M. at St. Benedict Church with Rev. Gabriel Landis, OSB as celebrant. Interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. A Prayer service will be held at 1:00 P.M. at the church with visitation to follow until time of service. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Corrine Donaldson memorial fund and may be left in care of the funeral home.
Corrine was born, June 3, 1923, in Atchison, Kansas, the daughter of Clarence and Emily Taylor Sanders. She attended Atchison Public Schools and graduated from Atchison High School.
She and Henry W. Donaldson were united in marriage on July 12, 1946, in Hiawatha, Kansas.
Corrine served for forty-seven years in the housekeeping department of St. Benedict's College and Benedictine College following the merger of St. Benedict's College and Mt. Saint Scholastica College.
She was a longtime member of St. Benedict's Church, the Riviera Club and Riccordi club and the NAACP. She and her husband were also members of the Good Sam Camping Club.
Survivors include her husband Henry Donaldson, Atchison, KS, a sister, Louanna Grier, Hiawatha, KS and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Johnetta Jennings, Pauline Foxworthy and a brother, Joseph Sanders.
