Connie L. Blohm, 74, Atchison, Kansas died Monday, March 11, 2013 at the Atchison Hospital.
Mass of Christian burial will be Thursday, March 14, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Benedict's Church with Rev. Gerard Senecal, OSB as celebrant. Interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. A parish rosary will be recited on Thursday at 10:30 A.M. at the church. There is no scheduled visitation prior to the services on Thursday. Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Benedict's Church and may be left in care of the Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home with whom final arrangements have been entrusted.
Connie was born March 16, 1938, in Atchison, Kansas, the daughter of John and Lois Linder Weatherford. She attended St. Joseph's Elementary School graduating from Mount St. Scholastica Academy.
She and Richard E. Blohm were united in marriage on June 10, 1958, in Atchison, Kansas.
Connie, a homemaker all of her married life she enjoyed reading and browsing on the computer, but her greatest enjoyment was doting on her grandchildren and spending time with them.
She was a member of St. Benedict's Church.
Survivors include her husband of fifty four years, Richard E. Blohm of the couples home, two sons, Timothy (Debbie) Blohm, Atchison, KS, Christopher Blohm, Kansas City, MO, four daughters, Kimberly (David) Hosier, Kansas City, MO, Vickie (Stan) Eads, Decatur, IL, Kelley (Tim) Goss, Manhattan, KS, Amy (Dan) Watowa, Atchison, KS, and seven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, John Blohm, three brothers, Mike Gillespie, Don Gillespie, Ron Gillespie, and two sisters, Patty Noser and Cheryl Finke.
