Christopher L. Walters, 60, Atchison, Kansas, died Friday, October 16, 2015, at his residence.
Mass of Christian burial will be Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. Sacred Heart Church with Rev. Ron Walters as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Benedict's Church Cemetery, Bendena, Kansas. Recitation of the rosary will be immediately prior to Mass at Sacred Heart on Wednesday. Chris was born April 29, 1955 in Atchison, Kansas the son of Fred and Adelaide Halling Walters. He attended Atchison public schools.
Chris was associated with Achievement Services for most of his life.
He was a member of St. Benedict Parish. He enjoyed bowling, special Olympics, attending summer camp and was very fond of his nieces and nephews, telling them often that he was their favorite Uncle.
Survivors include his mother, Adelaide Walters, Lenexa, KS, a brother, Fr. Ron Walters, San Antonio, TX, three sisters, Marilyn Morgan, Olathe, KS, Diane Myers, Wathena, KS and Carol Hager, Atchison, KS.
He was preceded in death by his father in 1997.
