Charles L. Aldridge, 71, Atchison, Kansas died Friday, November 6, 2020 at the University of Kansas Medical Center, Kansas City, Kansas.

Funeral services will be Friday, November 13, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. at the Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Ziegler officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be for one hour preceding the services at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the Wounded Warriors and may be left in care of the Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home.

Charles was born January 30, 1949 the son of Leslie Ray Aldridge and Anna Cornelius Aldridge in Harrisonville, Missouri. He attended schools and graduated from the Pleasant Hill High School, Pleasant Hill, Missouri.

Charles and Harriet J. Moore were united in marriage on November 18, 1977 in Atchison, Kansas.

He was employed for over 45 years with Locomotive Finished Materials Company, Atchison Casting Corporation and Bradken until his retirement.

Charles proudly served his country in the United States Navy from June 19, 1968 until his honorable discharge on May 28, 1970.

In his spare time he enjoyed bowling; fishing; the WWE wrestling on Friday nights and he always had with him a glass of sweet tea and especially enjoyed watching Chiefs football.

Survivors include his wife, Harriet of the couple's home in Atchison, KS; three sons, Robert Burgoon, Atchison, KS; Gene (Solange) Burgoon, Leavenworth, KS; Samuel (Crystal) Hale, Atchison, KS; three daughters, Kim Byrd, Atchison, KS; Vickie Hale, St. Joseph, MO; Jeanette (Dale) Oden, Kearney, MO; two brothers, Doug Aldridge, Kingsville, MO; and Ronald Aldridge, two sisters, Margaret Arthur, Kansas City, MO and Nancy Crawford, Warsaw, MO; seventeen grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a great grandson, Victur Torres and a sister, Cheryl.
