Charlene Price, 63, Atchison, Kansas died January 29, 2014 at her home.
The body has been cremated and no services are planned.
Charlene Price was born the youngest out of a family of six . She had been raised with her brothers and sisters in a group home unfortunately due to her parents not being together although she was blessed to have been with her siblings. She always had a smile on her face whenever she would tell a story of her and her siblings. You could tell she enjoyed being together with them.
When she turned eighteen she left the home to meet the love of her life Gail Price. They were happily united in marriage in Atchison,Ks on May 23rd 1978. Together they raised a family of six. All of her children survive and yet they are sad of the loss of their mother they are happy she is out of her pain and suffering. She has returned home to be with her loved ones and she was excited to see them.
Charlene was not only a very loving mother but as a career she was a loving nurse. Anyone who met Charlene could tell you she was a very caring person and would help anyone out that she could.
Charlene worked at Atchison Senior Village for eighteen years until she retired due to her husband having throat cancer so she could be his personal nurse and to take care of him. Unfortunately cancer took its place and after losing her husband she got cancer herself.
Charlene lived life to the fullest and was always a very positive person and touched many of peoples lives through her career. She always talked of her family and wasn't afraid of dying ,she just didn't want to leave anyone behind especially her grandson Gail as anyone that knew her could tell you .
Survivors are her sons Bobby Nelason , Jason Price, Chris Price , and Andy Price . She also has two surviving daughters Jody Crawford and Heather Disher along with a step daughter Tracy Price and 27 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Her husband preceded her in death along with her brothers Bill Nelason ,Freddie Nelason and Elizabeth Nelason.
