Celine Joanne Cole

Celine Joanne Cole, 86, of Chandler, AZ formerly of Mesa, AZ and Atchison, KS passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 13, 2016 in Gilbert, AZ.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, October 24, 2016 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Joseph's Church, Atchison, KS with interment to follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. A parish rosary will be Sunday, October 23rd, at 3:00 P.M. in the chapel of the Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home, visitation with the family will follow until 5:00 p.m. Arrangements entrusted to Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home, Atchison, KS.

Celine was the daughter of Jacob and Rozella Deveney Seeger. She was born on October 22, 1929 in Atchison, KS. Celine was raised and educated in Atchison, KS.

Celine married Gerald Vernon Cole on January 23, 1951 at St. Joseph's Church, Father Mathew Hall, O.S.B. presided. They later divorced.

Celine worked as a Legal Secretary, antiques dealer and later was a real estate agent in Arizona.

Celine is survived by her son, Mark S. Cole and his wife Deborah M. Cole of Chandler, AZ. Other survivors include a brother, Jerry Seeger of Tucson, AZ and sister, Jeanne Heit of Topeka, KS and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Clifford Seeger and 6 sisters Mary Rader, Fran Davis, Rosalee Hindman, Agnes Farrington, Carol McRae and Helen Schroeder.
