Catherine A. Carlson, 98, Atchison, Kansas died Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at Atchison Senior Village.
The body has been cremated. No services are scheduled. Private family burial will be held at a later date at Sunset Memory Gardens Cemetery. The Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home has been entrusted with these services.
Catherine was born September 1, 1917 in West Point, Nebraska the daughter of George and Dora Schoenfeldt Risse. She attended schools in West Point, Nebraska.
She and Warren E. Carlson were united in marriage in 1935 in West Point. Mr. Carlson preceded her in death in 1993.
Survivors include a daughter, Leah Rae Cox, Atchison, KS, a granddaughter, Kimberly (Mark) Ruhnke, Atchison, KS, a great grandson, Zachary (Abby) Ruhnke, Atchison, KS, and two great-great grandchildren, Brayden Levi Ruhnke and Emma Rose Ruhnke, both of Atchison, KS.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Clarence "Sonny" Risse.
