Carol G. Sweet

Carol Sweet, 61, Atchison, Kansas, died, Friday, March 11, 2016, at Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph, Missouri.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 16, 2016, at 10:30 A.M. in the chapel of the Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home, with Pastor, Jeff Cochran, officiating. Interment will follow in Lancaster Cemetery. A visitation with the family will be Wednesday, from 9:30 A.M. until 10:30 A.M. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are suggested to the family and may be left in care of the funeral home.

Carol was born April 10, 1954, in Atchison, Kansas, the daughter of Frank and Phyllis Carson Liebsch. She attended school in Atchison, and later attended Northwest Oklahoma State University in Alva, Oklahoma.

She and Richard Sweet were united in marriage in Atchison, Kansas. Mr. Sweet preceded her in death on November 18, 2001.

Carol was a member of the Atchison United Methodist Church. She enjoyed watching movies and reading. She loved her cats especially the one named "Doobie." Her passion was the piano as she enjoyed giving piano lessons at the Mount St. Scholastica Music Conservatory. She loved all the classics including Bach and Chopin.

Survivors include, three sons, Larry Lawrence, Olathe, KS, Joshua Lawrence, Lenexa, KS, David Sweet, Lenexa, KS, two daughters, Angie Gerardy, Lancaster, KS, Amanda Lawrence, Atchison, KS, a brother Phillip Liebsch, Helena, OK, two sisters, Paula Dempsey, Helena, OK, Elaine Jones, Helena, OK, and nine grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
