Candyce A. Rueb

Candyce Ann Rueb, of Wills Point, Texas, passed away peacefully Thursday, June 2, 2022, at the age of 68 in Bonham, Texas.

Candyce was born January 14, 1954, in Colorado Springs, Colorado to CMSgt Duane and Mary (Miller) Rueb. She attended Muscotah High School her Freshman through Junior years. Her Senior year, she attended Atchison High School, graduating Class of 1971.

Candyce enlisted in the United States Air Force on November 22, 1976, and served until her honorable discharge on September 22, 1986.  After leaving the Air Force, Candyce went on to receive her Bachelor's degree in Middle Grades Education in English and History from West Georgia College graduating with honors, Class of 1992.

Candyce enjoyed gardening, reading, cooking, and spending time with family and her beloved cats.

Survivors include her daughter, Jennipher Collins, son-in-law Geoff Collins, granddaughter Bella Collins, all of Overland Park, KS, father Duane Rueb of Atchison, KS, and her three brothers Kelvin Rueb of Kerrville, TX, Justin Rueb and wife Anne Rueb of Mosinee, WI, and Noel Rueb and wife Jeannette Rueb of Atchison, KS. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Rueb and brother, Kevin Rueb.

Graveside services will be held Friday, August 12, 2022, at 12:30 P.M. at Leavenworth National Cemetery.
