Bonita Jo Wabski –"Shipshee-Quah", 59, Atchison, Kansas, died Friday, August 30, 2013 at Heartland Regional Medical Center, St. Joseph, Missouri.
Evening Drum services will be Sunday, September 1, 2013 at the Kickapoo Community Building, Horton, Kansas. Burial services will begin at 8:00 A.M. Monday, September 2nd with burial to be in Shipshee Cemetery, Mayetta, Kansas.
Bonnie was born July 9, 1954 at Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas the daughter of Eugene Joseph Wabski, Sr. and Muriel Gladys Shuckahosee. She attended Central Elementary School in Atchison and Atchison High School, graduating from Powhattan High School in 1972, Powhattan, Kansas.
Bonnie served as an administrative assistant for the Kickapoo Nation School, Powhattan, Kansas for 24 years until her retirement.
In her spare time she enjoyed relaxing, listening to Motown music and reading. Her most favorable pastime was being with her granddaughters and attending their sporting events.
Survivors include a daughter, Kris Wabski, Atchison, KS, a son Cory (Erin) Wabski, Cummings, KS, three sisters Barbara Simon, Horton, KS, Shirley Wahwahsuck, Atchison, KS, Sandra Bowen, Atchison, KS, two brothers Adolph Cadue, Jr., Horton, KS, Eugene Joseph "Sonny" Wabski, Jr., Atchison, KS and three grandchildren.
