Beverly Ann Bey, 54, Kansas City, Missouri died Friday, December 20, 2013 at her residence in Kansas City.
Funeral services will be Saturday, December 28, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday, Dec. 28th from 12:30 until 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Beverly was born November 20, 1959 in Atchison, Kansas the daughter of Donald William and Ivanola Smith Bey. She attended Martin East and Martin West Elementary Schools, graduating from Atchison High School in 1978.
Beverly was employed with Embassy Suites Hotel in Kansas City for several years until her untimely death. She formerly served with the housekeeping department in hotels in the Denver, Colorado area and with Kemper Arena and Bartle Hall Convention Center in Kansas City.
Beverly was known for her cooking expertise and her love of music. An avid sports fan she especially enjoyed cheering for her favorite football and basketball teams.
Survivors include her companion of twenty years, Harold Benson, Kansas City, MO, her father and companion, Donald W. (Mary Lou Boldridge) Bey Sr., Atchison, KS, two sisters, Ruthie Bey, Kansas City, MO, Janet Bey, Kansas City, MO, two brothers, Ron (Angela) Bey, Kansas City, KS, Donald W. (Betty Lou) Bey, Jr., St. Joseph, MO, four nephews, Donald W. Bey III, St Joseph, MO, Deion Bey, St Joseph, MO, Rahim Sayles, Wichita, KS, Jamaal Sayles, Kansas City, KS, three nieces, Erica Mabion-Bey, St Joseph, MO, Tierra Bey, Kansas City, MO, Jamila Bey, Wichita, KS, One great nephew, Deairis Gipson, Kansas City, MO, one aunt, Florence Williams-Bey, Atchison, KS and a host of relatives.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Ivanola Bey.
