Betty M. Vandiver, 88, Atchison, Kansas died Friday, November 28, 2014 at her residence.
The body has been cremated. Memorial services will be Friday, December 5, 2014 at 6:00 P.M. at Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home.
Betty was born September 7, 1926 in Horton, Kansas the daughter of Clyde and Gladys Chapman Lacy. She attended elementary school in Horton, Kansas and Horton High School.
She and Charles Raymond Vandiver were united in marriage on January 31, 1946 in Atchison, Kansas. Mr. Vandiver preceded her in death on January 15, 1985.
Betty was employed with Rockwell International Company in Atchison as a timekeeper and payroll clerk from 1970 until her retirement in 1991.
Survivors include two daughters, Bobbie Jean Vandiver, Atchison, KS, Karen (Gary) Funk, Atchison, KS, five grandchildren, three great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, David Vandiver, three brothers, Jimmy Lacy, Glen Lacy, Arlie Lacy, three sisters, Lorraine Heineken, Willa Hazelitt and JoAnn McCray.
