Arland Luray Grand Pré

Arland Luray Grand Pré, 79, Cummings, Kansas died Sunday, April 5, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Graveside services will be held at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Arland will lie in state at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 7th, from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. The Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home has been entrusted with the final arrangements. Arland was born September 11, 1940 in Hanover, Kansas the son of Harland Luray and Edna Grieveldinger Grand Pré. He attended schools in Atchison, Kansas graduating from Atchison High School.

Arland and Sandra Sue Linden were united in marriage on November 25, 1961 at Sacred Heart Church in Atchison, Kansas.

He served as an Atchison police officer for the Atchison Police Department and also was employed with Midwest Grain Products Company until his retirement.

He was a member of St. Benedict Parish. In his spare time Arland enjoyed woodworking, hunting, family vacations, auto repair and most especially enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Sandra, of the couple's home in Cummings, KS; two sons, Michael L. (Corina) Grand Pré, Buhler, KS; Randy L. (Sara) Grand Pré, Valley Falls, KS; a daughter, Shelly S. (Timothy) Grand Pré -Stout, Cummings, KS; two sisters, Jane Seager, Atchison, KS; Marilyn Grand Pré, Atchison, KS; nine grandchildren, Jason (Rebecca) Grand Pré; Christine (Corie) Grand Pré - Dunn; Amy (Nick) Stout-Noll; Stephen (Nichole) Grand Pré; Matthew (Ashley) Stout; Courtney (Andrew) Grand Pré -Page; Tiffany (Brent) Grand Pré -Schuler; Mallory (David) Grand Pré -Akins; Jacob Grand Pré (Fiancé, Anita Muniz), thirty-two great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Debra Grand Pré.
