Amy West

Amy Lynn West, age 54, of Atchison, Kansas, died January 1, 2025, at Mosaic Life Care.

Amy's life will be celebrated with a funeral service on January 9, 2025, at 11:00 am at the Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home. The family will receive friends for a visitation on Wednesday evening, January 8th from 6-7:30 pm at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest in Mt. Vernon Cemetery. Memorials may be left to assist the family during Amy's unexpected passing in care of the funeral home.

Amy was born on February 3, 1970, in Atchison, KS, the daughter of Soni (Pruett) and Robert Liggett. She was a graduate of Atchison High School.

She married Mitch West on December 3, 1994, at the First Christian Church in Atchison and they shared thirty years of marriage.

Amy was always creative and loved flowers and crafting, which led her to open Lady West Creations. She operated the store until she had to take a step back and focus on her health. She enjoyed going to the races with her husband and boys and riding motorcycles. Her animals meant so much to her, especially her dogs. She constantly worried and thought about her family, especially her husband and sons.

She will always be remembered by her husband, Mitch West; her boys, Mike West and Tom West; her mom, Soni (Rick) Moranz; her sister, Sara (David) Haupt; her niece, Alison Haupt; nephew, Kaden Haupt and her aunts and uncles and many cousins.

Her father preceded her in death.
