Alice Elaine Kuefler

Alice Elaine was born and baptized March 1st, 2024. While her life was short, it was a miraculous gift. Born with Trisomy 18, a chromosomal disorder that affected her entire body and its function, she spent 7.5 weeks in the NICU at Children's Mercy growing strong enough to come home. During these weeks she received countless snuggles from her mom and dad and was adored by many nurses and doctors who claimed she was the cutest baby on the unit. Alice was received fully into the Catholic Church on April 26th when her rite of Baptism was completed, and she was Confirmed and received her First Holy Communion. After 3 weeks at home receiving snuggles from family and friends and being pampered by her siblings, Alice passed into the hands of her Eternal Father being held by her earthly parents.

Survivors include parents Scott and Kayla Kuefler, siblings Simon and Monica, maternal grandparents Dick and Patty Oatney, paternal grandparents John and Vicki Kuefler, godparents Stephen and Celia Noffke, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Mass of Christian burial will be on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at St. Benedict Church. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until 12:45 p.m. when a rosary will be prayed before Mass. She will be laid to rest in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Benedict Parish or Ronald McDonald House of Kansas City in Alice's memory.
