James A. White, 44, Effingham, Kansas, died Wednesday, November 14th at his residence.
Graveside services will be Tuesday, November 20, 2012, at 1:00 P.M in the Monrovia Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to services. Memorials are suggested to help defray funeral expenses and may be left in care of the funeral home.
James was born January 20, 1968, in Atchison, Kansas, the son of Herbert J. and Donna Morris White. He attended Atchison High School and Atchison County Community High School.
He and the former Tonya Patton were united in marriage on July 10, 2012, in Atchison, Kansas.
James worked as a vintage lure restorer. He made custom lures for people and companies across North America. James was an avid fisherman competing in Pro Bass Tournaments, and he was a member of the National Fishing Lure Collectors Club (NFLCC).
He enjoyed working on lawnmowers with his brothers and building model cars. Music was also near to his heart as he not only listened to music but also played the drums.
Survivors include his wife, Tonya L. White, of the home, his mother, Donna White, Atchison, KS, two brothers, Preston J. (Kim) White, Atchison, KS, William R. White, Atchison, KS, and a sister, Theresa M. (Clifton)Miller, Effingham, KS.
He was preceded in death by his father, Herbert J. White.
